A-flat dominant 7th chord
How to play A♭7 on piano
The A♭7 chord is A♭ C E♭ G♭: A♭ (root), C (major 3rd), E♭ (perfect 5th), G♭ (minor 7th).
Spread four fingers over the four notes, thumb on A♭ in the right hand and the little finger on A♭ in the left.
Each inversion moves the bottom note up an octave. Practicing them in a row teaches your hand the same chord in three or four shapes, so you can reach it from wherever your hand already is.
