Never played before? Start at the top and work down. These 16 pieces are in the order we would teach them, from three notes in one hand to short classical pieces. Each one opens as interactive sheet music: press Play to hear it, slow it down, and loop one phrase until it sits under your fingers.

1. Start with the right hand
The tune sits in the right hand on a handful of white keys. Play it alone first and add the easy left-hand part later.
2. Add the left hand
Both hands now, with simple left-hand parts. These bring in new time signatures and your first sharps and flats. Two have the fingering printed on the score.
3. Your first classical pieces
Short pieces written for students, shortest first. Each hand has its own line, so learn one phrase at a time, hands separately, before you put them together.
