A dominant 7th chord
How to play A7 on piano
The A7 chord is A C♯ E G: A (root), C♯ (major 3rd), E (perfect 5th), G (minor 7th).
Spread four fingers over the four notes, thumb on A in the right hand and the little finger on A in the left.
Each inversion moves the bottom note up an octave. Practicing them in a row teaches your hand the same chord in three or four shapes, so you can reach it from wherever your hand already is.
