D dominant 7th chord
How to play D7 on piano
The D7 chord is D F♯ A C: D (root), F♯ (major 3rd), A (perfect 5th), C (minor 7th).
Spread four fingers over the four notes, thumb on D in the right hand and the little finger on D in the left.
Each inversion moves the bottom note up an octave. Practicing them in a row teaches your hand the same chord in three or four shapes, so you can reach it from wherever your hand already is.
