G-sharp minor 7th chord
How to play G♯m7 on piano
The G♯m7 chord is G♯ B D♯ F♯: G♯ (root), B (minor 3rd), D♯ (perfect 5th), F♯ (minor 7th).
Spread four fingers over the four notes, thumb on G♯ in the right hand and the little finger on G♯ in the left.
Each inversion moves the bottom note up an octave. Practicing them in a row teaches your hand the same chord in three or four shapes, so you can reach it from wherever your hand already is.
