School of Velocity, Op. 299 No. 1
About this arrangement
It's the first of 40 studies in Czerny's Die Schule der Geläufigkeit (The School of Velocity), written to develop evenness of the fingers. The first 30 were published by 1833.
Start at 50% and play the runs in rhythms (long-short, then short-long) so every finger gets the same weight, then raise the tempo step by step.
Start with short loops.
Use the section list as a practice map. Start at 50% tempo, loop one section, then return to the full piece once the hand shape feels stable.
Choose Right or Left to focus on one hand. Wait for note checks the highlighted notes as you play them on the screen or a connected MIDI keyboard.
Before you practice.
