About this arrangement

Hanon asks you to practise the first six bars until they can be played quite fast, and only then the rest of the trill. Where the fingering changes, marked (1), not the slightest unevenness should be heard. The edition adds that Mozart used this exercise for the study of the trill.

Keep each finger close to its key and let the two notes of the trill sound exactly alike. At the marked changes of fingering, play a few beats slowly across the change until you cannot hear it. Use a metronome and keep both hands exactly together.

Start with short loops.

Use the section list as a practice map. Start at 50% tempo, loop one section, then return to the full piece once the hand shape feels stable.

Choose Right or Left to focus on one hand. Wait for note checks the highlighted notes as you play them on the screen or a connected MIDI keyboard.

Before you practice.
