About this arrangement

Hanon asks you to lift the fingers high and with precision throughout this exercise, without raising the hand or wrist. When the first line is mastered, he says, and not before, take up the rest of the exercise.

Play the groups of four slowly at first and listen for four equal notes. Only the fourth finger is marked after the first bar; keep the same 4-3-2-1 order on every key. Use a metronome and keep both hands exactly together.

Start with short loops.

Use the section list as a practice map. Start at 50% tempo, loop one section, then return to the full piece once the hand shape feels stable.

Choose Right or Left to focus on one hand. Wait for note checks the highlighted notes as you play them on the screen or a connected MIDI keyboard.

Before you practice.
