About this arrangement

Hanon calls it the fourfold trill in thirds, for all five fingers, and asks you to play it very smoothly and evenly, striking each third very clearly.

Press both notes of each third at exactly the same moment, and keep the fingers close to the keys so the change from one third to the next is smooth. Start at a quarter note = 40 and raise the speed only when every third sounds clear. Keep both hands exactly together.

Start with short loops.

Use the section list as a practice map. Start at 50% tempo, loop one section, then return to the full piece once the hand shape feels stable.

Choose Right or Left to focus on one hand. Wait for note checks the highlighted notes as you play them on the screen or a connected MIDI keyboard.

Before you practice.
