About this arrangement

Hanon heads it sustained octaves, accompanied by detached notes. He asks you to strike the octaves vigorously without lifting the wrists, and to hold them down while deftly playing the inner notes with a good finger movement.

Hold each octave with the thumb and fifth finger for the whole beat and let only the inner fingers move for the detached notes. Keep the wrist level and still. Start at a quarter note = 60 and keep both hands exactly together.

Start with short loops.

Use the section list as a practice map. Start at 50% tempo, loop one section, then return to the full piece once the hand shape feels stable.

Choose Right or Left to focus on one hand. Wait for note checks the highlighted notes as you play them on the screen or a connected MIDI keyboard.
