About this arrangement

It's the second of the XII petites pièces, a set of keyboard arrangements of Haydn's music thought to have been published around 1799. It arranges the finale of his String Quartet in F major, Hob. III:73, which is marked Presto in the original.

Practise the right hand slowly and mark every staccato and slur, since the contrast between them is what makes the piece sound playful. Keep the left hand light and short.

Start with short loops.

Use the section list as a practice map. Start at 50% tempo, loop one section, then return to the full piece once the hand shape feels stable.
