School of Velocity, Op. 299 No. 6
About this arrangement
It's one of the 40 studies in Czerny's School of Velocity, Op. 299, published in four books to build speed and evenness in the fingers.
Each group starts with the thumb and is fingered 1-4-3-2 or 1-5-4-3. Practise the shift between groups on its own: play the last note of one group and the first of the next, back and forth, until the jump is quick and quiet.
Start with short loops.
Use the section list as a practice map. Start at 50% tempo, loop one section, then return to the full piece once the hand shape feels stable.
Choose Right or Left to focus on one hand. Wait for note checks the highlighted notes as you play them on the screen or a connected MIDI keyboard.
Before you practice.
