About this arrangement

Jean-Baptiste Duvernoy taught piano at the Paris Conservatoire. His Op. 176, École primaire, is a set of 25 elementary studies, each built on one skill.

Keep the fingers of each chord landing exactly together, and the wrist loose. Under the slurs, connect one chord to the next with the top note. Follow the dynamics, which move between p, mf and f.

Start with short loops.

Use the section list as a practice map. Start at 50% tempo, loop one section, then return to the full piece once the hand shape feels stable.

Choose Right or Left to focus on one hand. Wait for note checks the highlighted notes as you play them on the screen or a connected MIDI keyboard.
