About this arrangement

Jean-Baptiste Duvernoy taught piano at the Paris Conservatoire. His Op. 176, École primaire, is a set of 25 elementary studies, each built on one skill.

Play the first note of each right-hand figure with a small lean, then let the slur fade into the staccato note. Keep the left-hand waltz pattern short and quiet. B-flat is the one flat in F major; watch for it in the right-hand figures.

Start with short loops.

Use the section list as a practice map. Start at 50% tempo, loop one section, then return to the full piece once the hand shape feels stable.

Choose Right or Left to focus on one hand. Wait for note checks the highlighted notes as you play them on the screen or a connected MIDI keyboard.

Before you practice.
